Our annual Springfest beer festival started on Thursday 3rd through until the Sunday. Feeling exhausted but having so much fun we don’t care. Carefully sourced beers from as far as Scotland are supplied to ensure the best choice.
Morris dancers kick off the proceedings followed by bands the further three nights. This type of event is a great way to introduce people to green beer. Stonehenge do a cracker, Sign of Spring, its bright green and once you get over the colour its great!
Beer festivals rarely succeed without volunteers. Our volunteers are great. They have a wealth of product knowledge, great customer skills and a desire to wear badly designed t-shirts!
Customer participation is key to any beer festival. Their keen desire to try every beer starting with the lowest gravity can sometimes end with mixed results. If they opted for the sensible half pints then they usually make it out alive, however if they go full throttle they find themselves coming back the following day to finish the list. The annoying part of that is that there is always one or two beers that sell quickly and folks miss the boat.
Already planning Octoberfest, watch out for updates.
Cheers.
